Am I Stupid For holding on ?

Posted in Group:

So me and the boy i have been with for five years are not exactly the perfect couple. I try to let him go but I always come back. it is a long distance relationship but we he comes and visits jersey alot. sometimes i wont hear from him when he leaves but when he is back and when we are together just me and him were perfect. i love him and i would do anything for him and im pretty sure he feels the same about m. i just think someone wouldnt waste five years being with you if they did not care. im only 18 and he is 20. should i keep the realtionship going ?

You are 18. You dont know much about relationships so for a little while set him aside. Do some real research on the subject and then ask yourself that question again. Research- what does love look like? what does it look like after several weeks, months and years? Is it best to just date for now and meet many new people so that i can figure out my likes/dislikes and needs/wants and what can I do to be a well rounded person so that when the right guy comes into the picture, I will know what you are able to give and want to recieve. Hope this helps. God bless.
